Science Week 2021
Science Fair 2022
We are excited to announce that as part of our STEM (STEM = Science Technology Engineering & Maths) month we will be running our annual Science Fair once again this year. This optional home learning project is an opportunity for all our super scientists and engineers to shine as they choose an area of science or engineering, they would like to investigate, and then present what they have found out. We know that has in the past provided families with a great opportunity to work together to produce something amazing.
Choose a science or engineering project.
Present your results as a 4 page PowerPoint or a 4 minute video.
Work alone, with siblings or as a family.
Submit entries to firstname.lastname@example.org by 9am Thursday 31st March 2022.
Everyone who presents their work will receive a celebratory certificate of excellence.
Winners will represent the school at a collaborative local school event in the summer term.
We hope that this exciting opportunity will inspire lots of families to enjoy investigating and have lots of science and engineering fun together.
To help you with ideas, there are lots of websites full of fun ideas such as:

‘Marble Keepy Uppy’ Competition
What a lot of wonderful entries we had to our marble run competition! We had so many entries from children in across the school and they were all simply wonderful!!
Every single one has wowed and amazed the judging team and you should all be very proud of yourselves.
We could see you all put a significant amount of time and effort into testing, changing and improving your designs so that they were successful. Well done to all of you.
The final winners, all with marbles that kept rolling for over 30 seconds, and with a range of creative decorations and clever use of materials are:
Thomas Year 2
Delia Year 2
Grace Year 1
